The tour aims to promote Dutch government funded scholarship: HSP 2010-2011
The objectives of this tour are three fold: firstly where needed the introduction Nuffic Neso Vietnam and its director of, Mr. Malte Stokhof. Secondly, to create a network and see if there are possibilities for match-making between the higher education institutes of both countries. Thirdly, to deepen the understanding of Vietnamese education and the promotion and branding of Holland as an excellent study destination.
To create a network, Nuffic Neso has set out to open the way to develop new relationships while strengthening existing co operations between Neso Vietnam and Vietnamese universities. The first meetings have paved the way for future initiatives of cooperation between Vietnamese and Dutch Higher education institutes.
During meetings Neso Vietnam poses questions formulated by Dutch higher education institutes and documents the answers and the needs expressed by the Vietnamese colleagues of the institutes visited. Nuffic Neso aims to forward such advice and requests to Dutch institutes. Nuffic Neso also aims to inform Vietnamese colleagues in the educational sector about Dutch higher education.
Nuffic Neso Vietnam provides the universities with documentation from Dutch universities that have similar curricula and teach similar subjects. In this respect, during this tour several key universities in Vietnam have granted Nuffic Neso Vietnam permission to organize a series of seminars for their students and lecturers within the compounds of their institutes. Nuffic Neso focuses during these sessions on two subjects: one is the Study in Holland presentation and two is the introduction and explanation of our prestigious scholarships and programs: Huygens and NFP.
