Director General of Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture and Sciences visits Vietnam

The Netherlands are continuing to boost up the educational cooperation with Vietnam. After the visit to Vietnam of Nuffic’s Director Sander van den Eijnden in March 2009, Dutch Director General of Ministry of Education, Culture and Sciences visited Vietnam from 10th to 17th May 2009.
Purpose of the visit of Director General of Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture and Sciences was to seek co-operation with Vietnam in the fields of tourism, creative industry, business and especially education. During the trip, Renk Roborgh visted Neso Vietnam and local universities, met Vietnamese students at Neso Vietnam’s office and attended the second Asia-Europe Ministerial Meeting (ASEM) on Education in Ha Noi.
As reported by Vietnam News, Mr. Roborgh spoke at ASEM “The development and improvement of education and training curricula was the basis needed to ensure education quality. The Netherlands Government had also focused on promoting co-operation between businesses and education institutes to create more job opportunities for students after their graduation”. He also emphasized the need to enhance international cooperation in training personnel that meet skills demand of international labor markets.
