Delft University  personally welcomed 500 international students at the airport Schiphol in the Netherlands. For the reception, university staff as well as students have awaited their guests at the airport from 6 in the morning to 12 at night. In the reception hall, the university has set up a special booth to welcome the students.

Every international student is picked up from the airport and brought straight to their new accommodation in the Netherlands. The student will join an intensive ten- day introduction programme which has been well-thought out. International students are enabled to join activities such as shopping at IKEA, an introduction to Dutch public transport, visiting a super market or a dance workshop.

The Delft University of Technology known also for its solar race car provides an extremely well organized introduction programme for its international students compared to services provided by international competitors.
