New courses for NFP Alumni

In 2009, University of Twente has introduced two new short courses and that are available for fellowships.
Applicants can apply online through the website: http://www.utwente.nl/cstm/tsd/news for one of these courses. If you are admitted to the course, you can apply for a NFP fellowship. For more information on this fellowship please visit the Nuffic website http://www.nuffic.nl/nfp.
Entrance Requirements
Applicants are required to have a BSc, MSc or equivalent from a recognized University and at least two years of professional experience. For the course a basic understanding of engineering and economics is necessary. The language requirement is IELTS 6.0 (or equivalent).
Certificate of attendance
After satisfactory completion of the course, a certificate of attendance will be awarded.
Tuition fee
Tuition fee amounts to 5000 Euro. The fee includes resource material and site visits.
Course 1: Energy Management and Cleaner Production in Small and Medium Scale Industries
Time: 2 November – 4 December 2009
An international course for the public and private sector involved in energy conservation and environmental protection in industries.
Energy management is a central component to improving the energy efficiency of an industrial plant. During the course, all aspects of modern management will be discussed. Another focus is on technical and economic aspects of more efficient energy use and cleaner production. Participants have the opportunity to carry out an energy audit.
Course 2: Formulating Proposals for CDM Projects
Time: 9 March – 9 April 2009
The aim of the course is to develop participants’ skills in writing fundable proposals in the field of energy, environment and climate change with particular focus on CDMs. In this way, the participants can contribute to the sustainable development of their countries.
