Objective of the scholarship
The Dutch Lady Vietnam- Orange Tulip scholarship aims to attract and develop talented Vietnamese students helping them to join Dutch higher education in Holland so that they may return and come to work for the company.
Eligibility
The following students are eligible to apply for the Dutch Lady Vietnam – Orange Tulip scholarship:
1. Students who register for a master program in Marketing or Food Technology in Holland starting in September 2009: These students must possess a bachelor degree, but not necessarily in Marketing or Food Technology.
2. Students who are studying in Netherlands and entering their last year of the bachelor program in September 2009. The scholarship is for students with Marketing or Food technology major.
However, students who study other majors relating to business and economics (such as International Business and Management) will also be considered, provided that the Marketing subject makes up substantial credits in the study programs.
Value of the scholarships:
Each year a maximum of 4 candidates are selected for the scholarship program with no quantity criterion of post and undergraduate study.
Successful candidates will be sponsored 15,000 EUR per year. The scholarship will be transferred to the scholarship holder on a yearly basis with 75% upfront and 25% after graduation.
While undergraduate candidates are only sponsored in their final year, postgraduate candidates are sponsored during the study course, even if it is longer than 1 year.
Apart from financial aid, scholarship holder is also offered an attractive “fast-tracked” career opportunity after graduate and internship opportunity during his/her study.
Selection criteria:
Apart from the basic requirements set by the OTS program, eligible candidates for Dutch Lady Vietnam – Orange Tulip scholarship must also meet the following requirements:
- Under 26 years of age
- GPA at least 70/100 or 2.8/4.0
- Strong passion to work in dairy industry
- Strong passion to return to work in Vietnam
- High mobility and adaptability
- Excellent interpersonal skills and leadership potential
Application documents
Candidates must submit all documents requested by the OTS scholarship. Please note that candidates for master program must have an admission letter from a Dutch university to study in Marketing or Food Technology.
The ongoing bachelor students must present a reference letter of your university stating you are enrolling in the final year of a bachelor program in Marketing or Food Technology.
Timeline:
Deadline for application is 30 April 2009
Interviews with Dutch Lady Vietnam will be conducted in May 2009
Announcement of scholarship result will be in June 2009
Selected candidates can start their study in Holland in September 2009
Conditions and Commitment:
Dutch Lady Vietnam requests successful candidates to sign a commitment contract to return to Vietnam and work for the company for about three years after graduation. In addition, the students are requested to maintain his/her academic performance from GPA of 70/100 each semester. Failure in academic performance might lead to termination of the scholarship.
